Microsoft Cuts Windows 7 Beta Down

Microsofts blog is stating the following:

Due to very heavy traffic we’re seeing as a result of interest in the Windows 7 Beta, we are adding some additional infrastructure support to the Microsoft.com properties before we post the public beta. We want to ensure customers have the best possible experience when downloading the beta, and I’ll be posting here again soon once the beta goes live. Stay tuned! We are excited that you are excited!

what i want to know is why after windows vista massive beta interest, think that Windows 7 was going to any different. Microsoft have got to relaise that it is not 10 years ago when people werent interested in Beta software, of course they didnt get this kind of interest for Windows 95 or 98 or XP really there wasnt the amount of users that there are today.

Microsoft wake up and get real.
